Dapper Dan's Summer Camp is a fun, friendly, educational and hands-on camp. Our goal is to give your child an idea of how exciting and fun working with horses can be. Every day, as well as riding twice daily (weather permitting), with CPR certified instructors, there is a demonstration of proper horsemanship in one of varying fields. These demos include: lunging, braiding, body clipping, wrapping, anatomy of the horse, parts of the bridle and saddle, grooming and many others.
We also play games (on and off horseback), and go for nature walks and trail rides in Goddard Park (located directly next door). We also have an indoor ring for rainy day riding and activities. On Fridays, we venture next door for the Goddard Park Farmer's market!
Camp cost is $475.00 for a full week (M-F 9a-3p), $450.00 for Dapper Dan Farm students (must be a student as of 4/1/25). We do offer a sibling discount of $25.00 off. Half day camp is available (M-F 9a-12p). The cost of half day camp is $275.00. A $100 deposit is required with the registration form. The deposit will be applied to your camp cost. After camp supervision can be arranged for a fee, please speak with us about that when signing up. Children should bring a bagged lunch (refrigerator available), a water bottle that can be refilled, we will have extra water available, a helmet (bicycle helmets are fine) and a change of clothes. It is advised that your child wears long pants for riding, but may bring shorts to change into while eating and doing crafts. If possible, riding boots are the safest foot gear, but a shoe with a heal or a sneaker will work.
